The regulations detailed below are for the
permissable number of hours allowed for drivers of commercial vehicles
in England, Wales and or Northern Ireland.
For information on Scotland where there is a different control regime
we advise contacting your relevant local authority.

Drivers of goods vehicles not exceeding 3.5 tonnes permissible maximum
weight and dual purpose vehicles are subject only to the 10 hour daily
driving limit and exempt form the 11 hour daily duty limit when doing
the following jobs:
- Doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives and vets - Any services of inspection,
cleaning, maintenance, repair, installation or fitting - Commercial
travellers - Tthe AA, RAC or RSAC - Cinema or radio or television
broadcasters.
